Grade 6 (Salaried) Position Description:
The position of Communications and Marketing Specialist III will develop, execute, and manage strategic communications and outreach initiatives that support the mission and services for Campus Auxiliary Services. Ensure consistent branding, clear messaging, and effective engagement with students, faculty, staff, campus partners, and external stakeholders.
Submissions should include a cover letter and a portfolio showcasing examples of previous work done by applicants; examples include:
Press releases
Website copy and/or design
Collaterals that the applicant wrote and/or designed
Other examples as appropriate
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive communication and outreach strategies aligned with Campus Auxiliary Services goals and university priorities.
Serve as the primary communications advisor for auxiliary leadership, providing guidance on messaging, audience engagement, and communication planning.
Represent Campus Auxiliary Services on university committees, working groups, and cross-functional teams related to student experience, customer service, and campus communications.
Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all auxiliary service communications in alignment with university brand standards.
Respond to inquiries about Campus Auxiliary Services programs.
Create compelling content for multiple platforms, including websites, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, print materials, digital signage, and presentations.
Translate operational, policy, and service-related information into clear, student- and customer-friendly communications.
Maintain and update auxiliary services web content in collaboration with Campus Auxiliary Service program leaders.
Plan and execute outreach campaigns to increase awareness and utilization of auxiliary services.
Develop targeted marketing initiatives to support service launches and major initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and staff tabling events, fairs, campus promotions, orientations, and outreach activities to promote auxiliary services, engage stakeholders directly, and gather real-time feedback.
Serve as the primary liaison between Campus Auxiliary Services and University Communications & Marketing.
Partner with student organizations and campus departments to increase stakeholder engagement.
Support crisis and issue communications related to auxiliary services, as needed.
Track and analyze communication metrics and campaign performance.
Use data to improve communication effectiveness and customer experience.
Manage an annual calendar of events.
Oversee student employees or vendors supporting communications initiatives, as applicable.
Perform other duties as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree.
Google Analytics or HubSpot Inbound Marketing proficiency.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Grammarly highly desired.
Target Compensation Maximum: $81,529.00 Target Compensation Minimum: $54,318.00 Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
